***SC DIVISION CONVENTION - OVER-FlOW HOTEL***

Gentlemen,

Can you please pass along the below information to your camps regarding the Division Convention this weekend? 

 

We still have room for anyone who wants to attend.  We are not charging a late fee for walk-ins.  We will honor the regular registration price of $60 for anyone who comes on Saturday.  However, I can not guarantee a meal will be available as we have already ordered food.  We anticipated a certain number of walk-ins but if we exceed that number - the person would not get a meal ticket.  Also note that we have exceeded the 200 point for registrations so anyone who registers from this point forward will not get a convention medal.  They will still receive the registration packet and convention program.

 

The host hotel (Country Inn & Suites) has sold out of rooms.  There are may hotels at Exit 164 off I-95.  However, we have secured an Over-Flow alternative located across the street from the Country Inn and Suites.  The Wingate by Windham Hotel has offered us a special rate of $59 plus tax.  When making your reservation - please tell them you are with the SCV Convention to get the special rate.

The host hotel (Country Inn & Suites) is across the street.  The Friday Night Social is from 6p-9p and just an informal drop in where you can meet and greet fellow SCV members and pick up your registration packets for the convention.  Dress is informal - business casual.  The Florence WBTS Museum will also be open from 6p-9p.

 

We have a GREAT event planned and I look forward to seeing you all this weekend in Florence.

Reminder that our March meeting is TOMORROW night (Tuesday, March 23th).  We meet on the 4th Tuesday - NOT the last Tuesday.  We will meet at 7pm at Venus Pancake House. 

 

PLEASE REMEMBER to bring your 3x5 Confederate flags to use for decorations at the convention this weekend.  We will be going over final planning and preparations for this weekend.  Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

First let me apologize to those who do not have an e-mail account because this month's newsletter will only be sent electronically.  I have been out of town for the past couple of weeks and it just did not get done in time to mail out to those withou one.

 

Regardless, those of you who do receive this, please print one out and take to the meeting tomorrow night and share it with those who do not receive this e-mail.
