As you know the 7th Brigade Lee/Jackson dinner is only 2 weeks away.   Please contact the members of your Camps and advise them that if they are planning on attending and have not pre-registered to contact me by email at KT007@sccoast.net or by phone at 843-293-4082 before Jan. 7, next thursday.  We need a head count to turn in on Jan 8,so that enough food will be on hand for everyone attending.  We have a great speaker lined up and  the whose who of the SCV are attending also.  For information on the rates if they are planning on staying at the Springmaid resort in Myrtle Beach, $59 plus tax under the Sons of Confederate Veterans group. and the menu go to www.scv132.org.  The cost of the meal is $30 per person.   Please pass this along by email to your Camp members and if anyone is planning on coming and paying at the door, *we need to know by Jan 7.*   It is going to be a good night for the SCV.  At this time , we only have 30 confirmations .

Compatriots and Gentlemen,

I hope all had a great Thanksgiving Holiday with family and friends.   The 7th Brigade Lee-Jackson Banquet will be upon us before we know it.  It will be on January 16, 2010 at 6 pm at the Sprigmaid Resort in Myrtle Beach.  The cost of registration is $30 per person and Springmaid is offering rooms at $59 plus tax.  Registration forms can be found online at  http://www.scv132.org.  The information for contacting Springmaid Resort is also posted there.  Just tell them that you are with the Sons of Confederate Veterans for the $59 room rate.  We are looking to have a great time that night be sure to get your registration forms in before the January 4 deadline, to insure that enough food will be prepared for the Banquet.

Please read the attached information about the SC Division Leadership Conference.  I am planning on attending and invite anyone who it able to join me.  This will be a great opportunity to learn from and meet the other leaders throughout the state.  It will also give us an excellent opportunity to promote the State Convention coming up in March.  If you are planning on running for office next year - this would be an excellent opportunity for you!

I would like to remind you about the Pee Dee Rifles Christmas Party / Awards Program on Thursday, December 10th.  We will meet at Woodstone BBQ at 7pm (formerly Jakies) on Pamplico Highway across from Cains and Carolina Carpet & Tile.  You can order from the menu or eat from the buffet.  I look forward to seeing you on Thursday night at 7pm!
