Pee Dee Rifles News Update

Gentlemen,

 

I hope you and your families are doing well.  Here are some important announcements:

 

1) State Convention

Planning is coming along nicely for the state convention.  If you have not done so - please visit our website at www.peedeerifles.homestead.com  I need your help in the following areas, I cant do this alone.

• Program Advertisements - This is our biggest priority right now.  I need your help out there asking local businesses if they will advertise in our program.  The Convention Program will be a magazine (8 1/2 x 11) size publication with 50-60 black/white printed pages and a full color front/back cover.  Our graphic artist can create an advertisement based off the information they provide OR we can use one they already have prepared.  This is critical - we need to get these ads sold as soon as possible.  It wont take long to reach a our target of $1000 if everyone pitches in and helps out.  Please help and do your part to make sure this is a success.
• Convention Registrations - Registration for members of the Pee Dee Rifles Camp will be HALF OFF the early registration fee.  It is not to early for you to register NOW.  Your cost to register for the Convention is $25.00.  Please take a few minutes, fill out the form, write the check and get it to me.
• Ancestor Memorials - Take advantage of the reduced registration price and get some ancestor memorials to honor your Confederate ancestor. 

2) Christmas Party

The Camp Christmas Party/Annual Awards Ceremony will be Thursday, December 10th at Woodstone BBQ from 7 - 9pm.

Woodstone BBQ - 513 Pamplico Hwy (across from Carolina Carpet and Tile and Cain's BBQ)

 

3) Red Doe Marker Dedication

The road side marker for Red Doe Plantation will be formally unveiled and dedicated on Sunday, November 22nd at 3pm.  All are encouraged to attend.  Bring your family and lets have a good showing from the Camp.

 

I know you guys and truly hope you will not wait until the last minute to take action.  Please act now and get your registration in for the convention and help sell some ads.  If all you sell is a business card size add, then we are that much closer to reaching our goal!  Please pitch in and lets get these ads done.  Please call me if you have any questions about the program booklet, graphics or size of the ads.

***MEETING REMINDER***

Just a reminder that the Pee Dee Rifles will meet on Tuesday, October 27th (this Tuesday) at 7pm at Shoney's near Magnolia Mall.  We have a great program lined up and there is alot of important business that needs to be discussed.  I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday night.
