Fellow Compatriots and friends,
The W.E. James Camp 74 will be holding a Confederate Memorial Service for our camp's namesake, W.E. James, at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Darlington, SC. The date will be Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 10:00 am. Our featured speaker will be Past Commander Ken Howle, of the Pee Dee Rifles Camp 1419 in Florence. Compatriot Howle will be speaking on the life and military service of W.E. James.
The Harllee Guard will be handling the military salutes at this event. Our local Boy Scout Troop will be presenting the colors. All Confederate veterans buried in Grove Hill Cemetery will also be honored on this day.
The members of the W.E. James Camp hope that you will be able to attend this important service honoring our great Southern Heroes.
