CEMETERY CLEAN-UP

 

A reminder that we are planning to meet this Saturday morning (April 26th) at Mt Hope Cemetery.  I'll see you at the Confederate Soldiers monument at 9AM.  The plan is to clean up (or repair) the Crosses of Honor on the graves of the veterans in preperation for Confederate Memorial Day.

 

What To Bring:

• small hand brush
• flat black spray paint (in case some crosses need touching up)
• children or grand children - they will have fun
• bottle of water

The weather forcast for Saturday is VERY nice - sunny with a high near 80F.  If we get a good crowd, we should finish by 11:00 before it gets to warm.  This will only take about two hours out of your day and you will have the rest of the afternoon to do other things.  Please plan to attend and I will look forward to seeing you all on Saturday!

PS...Just in case there are some folks that dont know where Mt Hope cemetery is - it is located downtown florence at the intersection of National Cemetery and Dargan Streets.
